We have survived snakes on a plane, but can we survive zombies on a plane? AMC is developing a stand-alone Walking Dead special to help answer that question.
Entertainment Weekly reported today that AMC is working in a half-hour Walking Dead special that will introduce a new character that will pop up in Fear The Walking Dead’s second season.
The special will be about a flight in the air as the zombie apocalypse breaks out. Even in the air, the zombie virus is inescapable and only one person survives the flight. That’s the person we will see in Fear.
AMC is coming up with a unique way to get the special to viewers. It will first be available online. Then, it will air during commercial breaks for The Walking Dead. Yeah, you won’t want to fast-forward through commercials if you DVR the show.
The special still doesn’t have a title and it’s not clear how many Walking Dead episodes will feature the chapters of it.
Fear The Walking Dead kicked off last weekend and airs on Sunday. As for season six of The Walking Dead, that premieres on Sunday, Oct. 11.
