Bones might be about to start its 11th season, but that’s not stopping the show’s writers from playing around with the format. Not only will there be a crossover with Sleepy Hollow this year, but there will also be an appearance from Betty White.
White confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, “Wanted to let you know first that I will be joining the @BONESonFOX family for an upcoming episode this fall!”
TVLine reports that White has been cast as Dr. Beth Mayer, who is called in to help solve a murder that might have something to do with fantasy football. She is an experienced forensic anthropologist.
Back in July, it was reported that Bones will somehow crossover with Sleepy Hollow, despite the two shows being from different worlds and there have never been any hints of a link in the past. The Bones/Sleepy Hollow crossover won’t air until the second half of the 2015-2016 TV season.
White, 93, recently starred on TV Land’s Hot In Cleveland, which ended after six seasons.
Bones returns on Fox on Oct. 1.
Wanted to let you know first that I will be joining the @BONESonFOX family for an upcoming episode this fall! #Bones
