10. Mr. & Mrs. Smith (1941)
Truly one of the most bizarre gems in Hitchcock’s career, Mr. & Mrs. Smith is a straight romantic comedy. It gave Hitchcock a chance to work with Carole Lombard, whose life was tragically cut short a year after its release. Lombard and Robert Montgomery play a squabbling married couple who discover that they were never actually married. Whoops.
