Adele to finally release follow-up to ‘21’ before the end of the year (Report)

Adele, whose 2011 release 21 was virtually the only thing keeping the music industry afloat for months, might finally be ready to release her follow-up to the best-selling album of the decade. According to a report, she’s set to release her new album this winter.

Billboard claims that it has heard that her follow-up will be released in November. If that’s true, then we should probably hear a single soon.

The magazine reports that many of her collaborators from 21 will be back to help out. OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote “Rumour Has It,” worked with her. She’s also working with Danger Mouse, Max Martin and Canadian singer Tobias Jesso Jr.

The follow-up to 21 will likely be the most-anticipated new release of the decade. There were rumors in July that Adele would release the new album before the end of the year, but XL Recordings denied that. Of course, Adele did tweet “Bye bye 25... See you again later in the year x” in May.

The new album, which might be called 25 after her current age, will be Adele’s third. Her debut album was 19, released in 2008, and 21 was first released in January 2011. The album went on to win Grammy Album of the Year in 2012. Adele later won an Oscar for co-writing the title song to the James Bond movie Skyfall.
