‘The Walking Dead’ enters a new phase with Comic-Con trailer for season 6 (Video)

The Walking Dead will amazingly be starting its sixth season on AMC this fall, but it’s starting to look like a whole new show now that the cast is stuck in Alexandria.

AMC showed off a four-minute trailer for season six and revealed the premiere date. The show will come roaring back on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. According to Deadline, the network announced during the Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con that it will be a 90-minute episode.

In the trailer, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is shown in full command of Alexandria, but no one is sure how to trust him. At some point, Morgan (Lennie James) is going to take over. There’s also scenes of Daryl (Norman Reedus) getting in some kind of trouble outside of Alexandria.

If you need your zombie fix before October, you only have to wait until next month when Fear The Walking Dead begins. That show is a prequel series of sorts, happening earlier in the zombie apocalypse. However, it takes place in Los Angeles and will not feature any of the main Walking Dead cast.
