1. Jared Leto/The Joker
The trailer so far has been amazing, haunting and left audiences wanting more, but it isn’t until the final scene that everything comes together. Audiences see Jared Leto as The Joker and the image is disturbing. We are also able to hear his voice and the iconic Joker laugh. This is a far departure from Heath Ledger’s portrayal in The Dark Knight trilogy. The trailer ends with a close-up of Leto’s face and a smile that is the stuff of nightmares.
Overall, this trailer shows that the D.C. Universe is going to be very different compared to that of Marvel or Fox. This will be darker, more aggressive and full of evil. The countdown is on to August 5, 2016.
