LeBron James signs overall deal with Warner Bros.

Anyone who saw Trainwreck this past weekend knows that Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James could actually be in movies and TV if he wanted to... and apparently he wants to. The basketball superstar’s company SpringHill Entertainment has signed a massive deal with Warner Bros.

James and SpringHill co-founder Maverick Carter and Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara announced the deal today. It will cover basically anything James plans to do in Hollywood, from movies and television shows to digital content.

“LeBron James has one of the most powerful, well-known brands in the world and we are excited to be in business with him and his partner, Maverick Carter, and SpringHill Entertainment,” Tsujihara said in a statement. “The combination of LeBron’s global media presence and Warner Bros.’ unmatched production and distribution expertise is a big win for fans everywhere. We’re excited to welcome LeBron and Maverick to the Warner Bros. family and look forward to partnering on incredible projects that will connect with consumers across a variety of platforms.”

“Connecting with my fans and telling meaningful stories have always been my passion,” James added.

SpringHill already has several projects in the works and on television, including Disney XD’s Becoming, Starz’ Survivor’s Remorse and Bleacher Report’s Uninterrupted. The company is also producing a primetime games how at NBC.

James is a two-time NBA Finals champion from his time on the Miami Heat and took the Cavs to the Finals at the end of the 2014-15 season. He can currently be seen on the big screen in Judd Apatow’s Trainwreck, which was written by and stars Amy Schumer.
