Jennifer Lawrence to star in another romantic comedy, ‘The Rosie Project’

Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly in talks to star in The Rosie Project, a romantic comedy based on Graeme Simsion’s novel.

The novel centers on Don Tillman, a brilliant genetics professor who doesn’t know how to be social. He decides that he needs to finally get married, so he comes up with The Wife Project to outline the perfect woman for him. But then he meets Rosie Jarman, who doesn’t meet any of his qualifications, but is nonetheless fascinating because she’s trying to find her biological father. Don joins her on the journey and falls in love with her along the way.

Rosie sounds like a character similar to Tiffany, the role Lawrence played in Silver Linings Playbook that earned her an Oscar for Best Actress.

The Hollywood Reporter first reported that Lawrence will star in the film, which will be written by (500) Days of Summer team Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber. Matt Tolmach and Michael Costigan will produce for Sony’s Columbia Pictures.

Sony is quickly turning into Lawrence’s home studio outside of Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games. David O. Russell’s American Hustle was released by the studio and she’ll soon star in their Passengers with Chris Pratt.

Lawrence will be seen in her third Russell-directed movie, Joy, which Fox is releasing on Christmas Day. On Nov. 20, she will be seen in the final Hunger Games movie, Mockingjay - Part II. She’s also making X-Men: Apocalypse, which comes out in May; It’s What I Do for Steven Spielberg; and the James Cameron production The Dive.

Wow, when does she have time to breathe?
