Alice Through the Looking Glass
In 2010, Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland kicked off Disney’s obsession with turning animated films into live action movies. While the film was hit hard by critics, it still won two Oscars for art direction and costume design and grossed $1 billion. The sequel will feature Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and Mia Wasikowska as Alice again. James Bobin, the director of the two recent Muppet movies, is taking over for Burton. Production started last summer and the movie will hit theaters on May 27.
