Bruce Springsteen makes surprising appearance at Brian Wilson show (Video)

If you go to a concert in New Jersey, you better be prepared for a special appearance from The Boss. Even though Bruce Springsteen hasn’t been doing much this year, he showed up at a Brian Wilson concert to perform a couple of Beach Boys classics.

Springsteen showed up on stage during Wilson’s encore for his show at PNC Banks Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. He tried to stay in the background, just singing backup vocals on “Barbara Ann.” But the other members of Wilson’s band had him strap on a guitar during “Surfin’ USA,” notes Rolling Stone.

Wilson is currently touring with fellow former Beach Boys Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin. Rodriguez, who was the subject of Searching for Sugar Man, is also touring. After he wraps up his U.S. summer leg this month, Wilson will be going on his final European tour.

Wilson recently released his new album, No Pier Pressure, and his life is the subject of the acclaimed Love and Mercy.

As for Springsteen, he released his most recent album, High Hopes, last year.
