Bill Cosby is finally being kicked out of Walt Disney World, or at least a bust of the embattled comedian is. The Orlando theme park will remove the Cosby bust from Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
A bust of the Cosby Show star had been installed in the park’s TV Hall of Fame Plaza for decades, alongside busts of Oprah Winfrey, Walt Disney, Lucille Ball and other television legends. However, a Disney World spokeswoman told The Orlando Sentinel that it will be removed.
While there had been a Change.org petition asking Disney World to remove the bust for months, as more and more women came forward to accuse Cosby of drugging and raping them in the past. However, a source told TheWrap that the petition did not have an effect on the decision.
The move comes just after the Associated Press obtained a copy of Cosby’s 2005 testimony in a lawsuit, in which he admits to obtaining Quaaludes to give to women for sex. Since last fall, over 40 women have accused Cosby and his lawyers had previously said that the allegations were not true.
