6. Chik-fil-a’s president posts anti-gay message
Moments after the Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act and allowed same-sex marriages to resume in California in 2013, Chik-fil-a president Dan Cathy caused an uproar when he tweeted then deleted, “Sad day for our nation; founding fathers would be ashamed of our gen. to abandon wisdom of the ages re: cornerstone of strong societies.” Many have protested the company in response.
