Perez Hilton to play Danny Tanner in ‘Full House’ musical parody

Had enough of Full House nostalgia overkill? Well, it’s not over yet. It has even leaked onto the off-Broadway stage with the upcoming National Lampoon-sponsored Full House! The Musical!, which will star celebrity blogger Perez Hilton as Danny Tanner and Bob Saget.

Hilton made the announcement this morning on his blog and also during an interview with Howard Stern.

He confirmed that he will even sing in the show, which will highlight the more foul-mouthed side of Saget’s stand-up routines. Some of the songs he will perform include (and this is completely true) are “This House is Too Full," "Our Family is Better Than Your Family," "I'm Kind of a Slut (But Just Enough for Network TV)", "Dad Speech (I'm a F-cking Superhero)", and "Kimmy Gibbler Don't Give a F—k.” Comet the Dog will also get a solo aria called “Look At These Assholes.”

The plot of the show actually centers on Saget’s clashing persona as the wholesome dad on Full House while also trying to work as a comedian for adults. It was written by Bob and Tolby McSmith, who are also responsible for Bayside! The Musical!.

Full House! The Musical! will first be staged in Toronto in August before moving to New York’s Theater 80, notes EW. The show will open on Sept. 7.

In addition to this travesty, there is also Netflix’s official Fuller House sequel series coming next year and Lifetime’s Unauthorized Full House Movie that will premiere in August.
