6. They’re drinking buddies
Eventually Regina forgives Emma, and they begin rebuilding their friendship. In episode 4x12, Emma finds Regina sitting alone at the counter in Granny’s. She sits down next to her, but before she can say anything, Regina puts her off saying that she doesn’t want a “hope” speech. Emma counters that Regina has mistaken her for her mother, and offers to be Regina’s drinking buddy instead. Surprised, Regina agrees, but of course they are interrupted. At least it was Henry that interrupted them. He wanted to show them the library full of empty storybooks. It is then that Emma discovers that Henry and Regina had their own covert operation: Operation Mongoose. She wants in and when Regina acts shocked, Emma reminds her that she promised to help her find her happy ending.
