Kristen Stewart’s mom denies comments about daughter’s relationship, journalist promises to release tapes

Kristen Stewart’s mother appeared to confirm that her famous daughter is now dating a woman, but she now claims that she never said what was attributed to her. However, Sharon Feinstein, the reporter who interviewed Jules Stewart for the U.K. Mirror, insists that she did not just make up quotes.

Over the weekend, Jules’ interview with the Mirror was published, and she appeared to confirm that Stewart had finally moved on from Robert Pattinson and is dating Alicia Cargile.

“What’s not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She’s happy,” Jules said. “She’s my daughter, I’m just her mom so she knows I would accept her choices. I feel like people need to be free to love whoever they want.”

She is later quoted as saying, “I accept my daughter loves women and men. It’s OK to be who you are in my world. We all choose our friends so we should be free to choose our lovers.”

After these comments went viral, Jules spoke with Us Weekly and denied she ever said that.

“I spoke to Sharon Feinstein about my film K-11 that has been put on display in the Hollywood Museum,” Jules told Us. “It’s currently there under the LGBT banner on the third floor. She also asked me about my views on gay rights, which I was happy to express. Then we talked briefly about the fundraiser I am hosting for TheWolfConnection.org. Never ever did we discuss Kristen!”

Jules claims that she only told Feinstein that Cargile is a “lovely girl” when asked about her daughter’s assistant.

Feinstein then took to Twitter, where she insisted she will soon publish the audio of her interview with Jules.

“I intend to load my tape of the interview I did with Kristen Stewart's mother Jules in two clips. Watch this space,” Feinstein wrote. “When someone has spoken to a journalist in good faith it isn't fair to blatantly deny it and call the journalist's integrity into question.”
