Tina Simpson, the mother of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, got engaged to her boyfriend of two years and posed with him as she proudly showed off her ring on Instagram.
Us Weekly first reported that Jessica and Ashlee’s mom is engaged to Jon Goldstein, who is the owner of the Beverly Hills-based Johnny Appleseed Landscaping company.
Goldstein accompanied Simpson to Jessica’s wedding to Eric Johnson last summer.
“He’s a really nice guy,” his friend told the mag. “He’s always cared about Tina … He’s known them for 15 years and has been a part of their family. He's so happy she said yes! I know he had been planning on asking her for a while."
A statement on behalf of the couple said that “they are thrilled and completely in love!"
As previously reported, Simpson divorced her daughters’ father Joe Simpson in 2013 after 34 years of marriage. They have three grandchildren and one on the way as Ashlee is expecting her second child.
Sources have said that the Simpson sisters are extremely happy for their mother.
