Hulu is going all out to remind everyone that it is the only place where you can stream every episode of Seinfeld. The streaming service even made a pop-up installation in New York’s Meatpacking District to act as a temporary Seinfeld museum. In addition to artifacts from the show, there’s also a full recreation of Jerry Seinfeld’s apartment from the show.
The Milk Studios space will only be open through Sunday and features plenty of original items from the show. As Ad Week notes, fans can go up to the diner booth where much of the show was spent. Patrick Warburton’s New Jersey Devils jersey, a Pez dispenser and Superman statue are also on display. And what would a Seinfeld museum be without a festivus pole?
Seinfeld also donated the canvas brick wall that the cast and crew signed after they completed filming the show’s finale in 1999. The Hollywood Reporter notes that you can also recreate George’s sexy photoshoot pose at the end of the gallery.
The apartment is the crown jewel of the display though, allowing fans to at least pretend they are walking through the same space their favorite characters spent time in. The set is also peppered with references fans should be able to pick up.
The pop-up exhibit is located at 451 W 14th Street.
Hulu won a competitive bidding war for Seinfeld, even beating out Netflix. Some reports estimated that Hulu spend as much as $1 million per episode for the rights.
