Pocahontas’ trickster raccoon Meeko might have escaped Walt Disney World this weekend. That has to be the explanation for an incredible photo that was published over the weekend from Florida. A man spotted a raccoon actually riding an alligator in the Ocala National Forest Sunday morning.

Richard Jones of Palatka told WFTV that he was just walking along the Ocklawaha River when his son ran off to find something cool to take a picture of. His son might have scared off a raccoon, which jumped into the river. There just happened to be an alligator nearby, so the raccoon hitched a ride on its back.
Jones got the picture just before the raccoon got close enough to land and it jumped off.
“I snapped a lucky picture right when the gator slipped into the water and before the raccoon jumped off and scurried away,” Jones wrote in an email to the station. “Without the context you'd think the raccoon was hitching a ride across the river. Pretty amazing. Definitely the photo of a lifetime.”

Of course, as the Huffington Post notes, the picture quickly made the rounds of social media, inspiring some pretty funny tweets.
