Hailee Steinfeld might have an Oscar nomination on her resume, but that didn’t mean that she got to graduate high school early. She finally graduated this week and shared a few pictures from the party on her Instagram page.
Over the weekend, Steinfeld posted a picture of the special cake Republic Records sent her, which even had a picture of her on it. Must have been pretty weird to cut your own face with a knife, even in frosting form.
In another post, she shared a couple of Polaroid shots from a big party the day before.
“I had the best night of my life last night with my favorite people,” she wrote. “Hunter and Griffin threw me a surprise graduation celebration and managed to keep the secret from me for over a week. We danced, karaoke-d (screamed, really) I laughed until I CRIED. Not really. But actually though. Thank you to everyone who came, I love you.”
As E! News notes, some of the other stars at the party included Austin Mahone, Fifth Harmony’s Ally Brooke, Alli Simpson and Becky G.
Steinfeld, 18, was nominated for an Oscar for True Grit and just starred in Pitch Perfect 2. Considering she’s the only member of the Barden Bellas still in college now, her character will be in Pitch Perfect 3. She also just showed off her musical talents in Begin Again.
