Fox Fall 2015: Emmys kick off new season, ‘Scream Queens’ gets two-hour launch

Fox’s fall 2015 gets kick started by the 67th Primetime Emmys in September, followed by a week full of new shows. Ryan Murphy’s new Scream Queens is even getting a special two-hour premiere.

The Emmys air on Sunday, Sept. 20, with Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg hosting for the network. It should help his comedy get some extra attention when it premieres a week later on Sept. 27.

The day after the Emmys, Fox kicks off the new shows with the second season of Gotham. The Batman prequel series will be followed by Minority Report, a new series based on Steven Spielberg’s cult sci-fi movie of the same name. Stark Sands and Meagan Good star in the series.

Scream Queens, which comes from the prolific Glee team of Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, gets a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The show will air at 9 p.m. regularly, with John Stamos’ Grandfathered and Rob Lowe’s The Grinder airing before it.

Wednesdays will feature the new medical drama Rosewood, starring Morris Chestnut in the title role and Jaina Lee Ortiz as a detective he works with. Empire will follow.
