E.L. James writes new 'Fifty Shades of Grey' book from Christian Grey's perspective

Ever wonder what Christian Grey was thinking during Fifty Shades of Grey? Well, you will soon find out since E.L. James has re-written the global phenomenon from Christian’s perspective.

The new book, simply titled Grey, will be released on June 18, which just happens to be the fictional character’s birthday. Grey will be published as an eBook and as a trade paperback by Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group imprint Vintage Books.

“Christian is a complex character and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past,” James said in a statement. “Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It’s been a great pleasure to return to my happy place - writing, being with christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic team at Vintage.”

The first Fifty Shades of Grey book was published in 2011 and became an international success, spawning two sequels. Universal studios adapted the book into a film, which grossed $569.6 million worldwide. Fifty Shades Darker will be adopted by James’ husband, Niall Leonard.

Universal’s film version of Fifty Shades Darker opens on Feb. 10, 2017. Fifty Shades Freed will open on Feb. 9, 2018. No director has been hired for either film.

The wait is almost over! For the readers who wanted to read Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy from Christian Grey's POV --...
