‘Star Wars’: First toys for ‘The Force Awakens’ revealed before Comic-Con

This morning, we finally got a look at the first Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys, albeit just different versions of the new Stormtrooper. More is expected to be revealed at San Diego Comic Con in July.

Lucasfilm and Disney shared the images with Entertainment Weekly first. The first toy is the buildable version of the New Order Stormtrooper from LEGO. It’s basically an action figure made out of LEGOs. Unfortunately, this will not actually be available to fans until Jan. 1, 2016.

Next up was Hasbro’s six-inch figure from the Black Series line. The figure will be available at SDCC in a special box for $24.99 and later online at HasbroToyShop.com. If you can’t get it in the special box, you probably won’t have any trouble finding it once The Force Awakens toys hit retail.

Lastly, EW showed off the new Hot Wheels Stormtrooper car. (Yes, Hot Wheels has been making Star Wars cars lately and also has a line of small die-cast ships.)

The Force Awakens hits theaters on Dec. 18, but toys and other products will be in stores on “Force Friday,” Sept. 4. There will also be more announcements at SDCC on July 10.
