3. Uncharted
Uncharted has been discussed as a movie basically ever since the first game was released in 2007, but it finally appears to be happening. The popular video games on Playstation are very reminiscent of Indiana Jones, following the swashbuckling adventures of Nathan Drake, a treasure hunter. It could be a really fun movie, though while the games felt unique because they were allowing us to play through a traditional action movie, the danger of making it into a movie is that without having us in control, it will just feel like your traditional action movie with not much special about it.
The movie is being directed by Seth Gordon, known for directing Horrible Bosses. It will be written by Mark Boal, who has previously written The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty. The movie is scheduled to be released in June 2016. We don’t yet have an actor cast as Nathan Drake, but no, it won’t be Chris Pratt.
