Similar to Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper will take characters that already feel like animated movie characters and translate them into a kids film. It’s no coincidence that the movies on this list with the most potential are the animated ones. A lot of times, video games don’t translate well to live action, but with a cartoon, you can capture all the wackiness and fun of a video game pretty well.
Based on the popular series of video games, Sly Cooper tells the story of a master thief raccoon and his partners in crime. It’s being directed by Kevin Munroe, who’s actually also co-directing the Ratchet & Clank movie. He has previously directed TMNT and Dylan Dog: Dead of Night. The movie will be released in 2016.
