5. Ratchet and Clank
This one probably makes the most sense out of all of the games on this list. When Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction was released in 2007, a lot of reviews mentioned that the animated cutscenes were so good, they were reminiscent of an animated film. That’s definitely true, and the Ratchet and Clank games often give off the feeling that we’re playing through a wacky animated comedy. The Ratchet and Clank characters themselves are funny as hell and perfect for a movie, and the games have plenty of action that we play through, but that could make for great animated setpieces on film as well.
The film, just called Ratchet & Clank, will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next month and will hopefully make it to theaters soon. With great animation and lovable characters, the movie could definitely be a huge hit with kids.
