An Auburn, Nebraska woman is suing all homosexuals in federal court, since God and his son, Jesus Christ, can’t do it themselves.
Sylvia Driskell, 66, wants an Omaha federal judge to declare homosexuality a sin, reports the Omaha World-Herald. Driskell, who wrote her lawsuit by hand on notebook paper, lists Bible verses as evidence. She believes that “homosexuality is a sin and that they the homosexuals know it is a sin to live a life of homosexuality.” Otherwise, “Why else would they have been hiding in the closet(?)”
She tells the court in her seven-page petition that God already declared homosexuality a sin, so the judge would be calling God a liar if the judge rules otherwise.
Slate notes that Driskell filed her complaint as a 1983 civil rights suit, which means that she thinks gays are violating the consitutitional rights of God and Jesus. She also doesn’t write out what she wants a judge to do with gays if the judge declares homosexuality a sin.
