'Mean Girls' mansion in Toronto up for sale... and it's expensive

You can live in the mansion that served as Regina George’s home in Mean Girls, but of course, you have to be rich to afford it, just like Regina’s parents.

Sotheby’s has listed the Toronto mansion for $14.8 million. The home has 11 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and two half-bathrooms and covers 20,000 sq ft on a 2 acre property.

There’s a 20-foot cathedral ceiling in the main room, 10-foot ceilings throughout the rest of the home and a sweeping Scarlett O’Hara staircase. The garage has room for six cars and there’s even a separate stone coach house with its own apartment.

According to Post City Toronto, the home was also used by Martha Stewart for a cooking show and William Shatner made a TV commercial in the foyer. Canadian Idol finalists also lived there and other celebrities have rented it for short stays.

But its role in Mean Girls, which was written by Tina Fey, will always be its biggest claim to fame. The home was used as the obnoxious mansion that Rachel McAdams’ character Regina lived in. It’s really nice. “I know right,” as Regina would say.
