Leo and Ruth Zanger from Quincy, Illinois welcomed their 100th grandchild into the world last month. They have 12 children of their own; 53 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The April 8 birth of their grandson Austin and his wife Ashleigh’s son, Laxton Leo, rounded out an even 100 grandchildren.

Leo joked to the Quincy Herald-Whig that their family could "could start our own town."

"The good Lord has just kept sending them,” he said, with Ruth adding, “There's always room for one more.”

When they all get together, it’s no low-key event. They have to "rent out a church hall” and get a 50-pound turkey or ham just to feed all the family members.

ABC Chicago reports the Zangers have been married for 59 years and had their kids; Linda, Greg, Debbie, David, Donna, Steve, Mike, Daniel, Ernie, Matt, Chuck and Joe between 1956 and 1984.

By the time Joe was born, he was already an uncle 10 times over.
