Supergirl won’t premiere on CBS for another six months, but if you use torrent websites, you can already get it... illegally of course.
Earlier today, TorrentFreak reported that the highly anticipated CBS pilot leaked on torrent sites after the groups DiMENSiON and LOL began a competition to see who could get the pilot out first. LOL came in first, posting a small 400mb version. However, DiMENSiON’s version was 15 times bigger and featured much better quality.
It’s not certain how they obtained a copy. The versions they posted didn’t have any watermarks on the image, which would tell you immediately if the files came from press screeners.
The leak caught torrent site users by surprise, as only 25,000 people had downloaded the files by the time TorrentFreak published its report. Obviously, that number probably skyrocketed after other sites picked up the story.
Supergirl is based on the DC Comics character, who is Superman’s younger cousin. Melissa Benoist (Whiplash, Glee) plays the title character and Greg Berlanti (Arrow) is one of the producers.
The series will air on Mondays at 8 p.m. this fall on CBS. At that point, you can watch it legally.
