Bob Dylan to perform on David Letterman's penultimate 'Late Show' episode

Bob Dylan is certainly picking the right time to make his second ever appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman. The legendary singer/songwriter has agreed to appear on Tuesday’s episode, which is Letterman’s second-to-last show.

Dylan last appeared on the Late Show in November 1993, during the show’s first season. Before that, he performed on NBC’s Late Night twice during Letterman’s reign there, first in March 1984 and then in January 1992.

This will mark Dylan’s first television appearance to promote his Frank Sinatra covers album, Shadows in the Night, which came out back in February. So it will be interesting to see if he performs any of those songs or just one of his own classics.

Letterman’s final episode is Wednesday and that show is set to feature some of his best moments. Tonight’s show will include Tom Hanks and a performance from Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder.

In addition to Dylan, Bill Murray will also appear on Tuesday’s episode.
