During last night’s episode of Inside Amy Schumer, Amy Schumer took on the Bill Cosby scandal with a sketch about trying to win in the court of public opinion. She also found out how to explain the universe to white women in another sketch.
In “Court of Public Opinion: The Trial of Bill Cosby,” Schumer tries to defend Cosby just by telling the jury that if he’s convicted of raping and drugging dozens of women, it will ruin how we see The Cosby Show or Cosby’s comedy. The prosecuting attorney is stumped, but the jury would rather be able to enjoy The Cosby Show, sweaters and cake than come to grips with reality.
Schumer enlisted Bill Nye The Science Guy to explain that the universe is “a giant dream board on which women pin their wishes.” Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer of Broad City also pop up in the video.
