One person took Maroon 5’s “Sugar” to a whole new meaning on Wednesday night, when Adam Levine was signing autographs outside of Jimmy Kimmel Live ahead of his appearance.

The Voice judge was sugar-bombed, leaving the powdery substance covering his entire body and face.

Sgt. Robert Payan of the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the suspect was arrested on the spot for suspicion of battery, CNN reports.

Laura Tijerina, a fan of Levine’s who was standing in the crowd, said Levine looked extremely mad.

"It looked like he wanted to fight the guy," she said. "I think this guy had it planned. It was a brown bag with tape around it, which was weird. I just saw powder everywhere. It was just so quick."

After the attack, Levine tried to dust off the excess sugar and ran off while security tackled the man responsible.

Levine wasn’t the only one angered by the incident. His fans yelled at the suspect as he was getting hurled away. One fan yelled to Levine, "File charges, that's assault!"
