Which Oscar winner is narrating Harper Lee's second book 'Go Set a Watchman'?

Harper Lee’s follow-up to To Kill a Mockingbird, which we know is called Go Set a Watchman, will be narrated by Reese Witherspoon.

HarperCollins made the announcement about the audio book on Thursday, with Witherspoon saying in a statement it’s "an honor and privilege to give voice to the Southern characters" as a Southerner herself.

Senior director of HarperAudio, Sean McManus, called Witherspoon an “extraordinary talent” in a release, New York Times reports.

Lee’s first book To Kill a Mockingbird was narrated by Sissy Spacek, so they’re continuing the theme of adding star power to the audio versions.

Although Lee finished the second book before Mockingbird, it’s set 20 years later and involves the same characters. It was shocking to hear that Lee was going to publish a second novel, saying at the time she didn’t even know that the manuscript still existed until her lawyer found it.

Lee is 88 and prefers life away from the public eye. Because of this, some questioned if she really wanted to release Go Set a Watchman or if her handlers were taking advantage.
