If you teared up when you saw the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser on Thursday, don’t be embarrassed. Matthew McConaughey cried, too.
Well, kind of. YouTube user Oskar Narson posted a clip late Thursday that has the trailer synced to a scene from Interstellar. In Christopher Nolan’s movie, McCaughey was reacting to the video of his daughter. But in this new clip, it looks like he’s letting his emotions get the better of him.
One of the funniest moments in the whole video comes when he waves at the new Sith Lord, Kylo Renn. Of course, McConaughey completely breaks down in tears at the very end, when Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca return.
The new teaser was unveiled Thursday, at the start of Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim. In just 24 hours, the teaser has been seen 20.2 million times. New stars Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega are the focus of the teaser, with a voiceover from Mark Hamill.
The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams, hits theaters on Dec. 18.
