Dr. Fredric Brandt, who became known as the dermatologist to the stars, was found dead on Sunday at his Miami mansion. He was 65.

Brandt’s publicist, Jacquie Trachtenberg, told confirmed to The New York Post’s Page Six that Brandt was “suffering from an illness” and refused to comment further.
“Everyone who knows him is devastated,” Trachtenberg stated. “I worked with him for over 20 years and he was an amazing man, not only was he a brilliant doctor, but he was the kindest human being.”
Brandt’s famous clients included Madonna and models like Stephanie Seymour. He was also an art collector and famed for his own face. Over the years, he tested his dermatology techniques on his own face.
“I’ve been kind of a pioneer in pushing the limits to see how things work and what the look would be,” Brandt told The New York Times last year for a profile. “Would I change anything I’ve done? I might not have used as much Botox, because you don’t want to look quite as frozen.”
Miami Herald columnist Lesley Abravanel tweeted that Brandy was “devastated” by Martin Short’s performance on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Tina Fey’s Netflix show. Short did play a doctor in one episode that looked like Brandt.
