#6: Mirror, Mirror
In this episode from the original series, a transporter malfunction sends Kirk, McCoy, Uhura, and Scotty into a parallel universe, and conversely transports their counterparts to ours. While in the “mirror” or opposite universe, Kirk and crew realize what has happened and set about to find a way back. Throughout their stay they are confronted by the evil and hostile “mirror” shipmates, but maintain their sense of humanity. In a final fight with Spock, Kirk mortally wounds him, and McCoy insists on treating him before leaving. During the process, the “mirror” Spock mind melds with McCoy to find out why Kirk spared his life, something unheard of in their universe. Two clips are included here. The first only shows the mind meld sequence. The second is a compilation of all the “evil” Spock scenes.
