#2: The Wild West
Spectre of the Gun is the title of this original series episode that places Kirk, McCoy, Scottie, and Spock in an illusionary wild west during the battle of the OK Corral as an elaborate execution for trespassing on the Melkot’s planet. Within the illusion, a person can die, if they think they are dying. Spock, whose logic allows him to see through the illusion, has to mind meld with the others so that they will understand that the events are not real, and thus survive the attack. The mind melding and ensuing battle are presented in two parts.
