8. Merle
Merle Dixon was the brother of Daryl Dixon and was featured in the first season of Dead. It was thought he might have died back in season one but he returned to complete his character arc and proved that in the end, Merle had in fact become a better person. He sacrificed himself so the group could live and in the end became a zombie. To spare his brother this life, Daryl was forced to shoot Merle with his cross bow. The reaction that Daryl had upon killing his brother was a haunting and emotional moment for Dead.
