Ludacris, Chrissy Teigen picked to host 2015 Billboard Music Awards

After going with one host last year, the Billboard Music Awards will try to add make some changes by giving Ludacris a surprising co-host. Organizers picked supermodel Chrissy Teigen to co-host with the rapper.

Teigen, who also happens to be John Legend’s wife, said in a statement that she is definitely qualified to host the awards, even though she is not a musician.

“If my extensive collection of all 53 Now That’s What I Call Music compilations is any indication, I am both qualified and honored to join Ludacris in hosting this amazing show that spotlights the best music and artists of the year,” she said.

“I had so much fun hosting the Billboard Music Awards last year and I can’t wait to be back!” Ludacris said.

The last time the show had two hosts was back in 2012, when Modern Family stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell were tasked with the job.

On Tuesday, Ludacris and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz will announce the finalists for the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. The ceremony is set for Sunday, May 17 on ABC.

In the meantime, you’ll be able to see Ludacris in Furious 7, which opens on Friday.
