A website linked to the terrorist group ISIS has claimed responsibility for Wednesday’s attack at a museum in Tunisia.
NBC News noted that Flashpoint Intelligence analysts have said responsibility was claimed Thursday through an online audio recording posted on an ISIS-related site.
The website also identified the attackers who were killed by Tunisian authorities as "Abu Zakaria al-Tunisi" and "Abu Anas al-Tunisi."
These claims, however, have not yet been verified.
As previously reported, two gunman dressed in military fatigues burst into the National Bardo Museum and shot several people, killing 23 and injuring 50 others, mostly tourists.
A statement from Tunisia's presidential office said that multiple people were arrested in connection with the attack.
In an address to the nation Prime Minister Habib Essid said that the country should unite during the tragic time.
"All Tunisians should be united after this attack which was aimed at destroying the Tunisian economy."
The Bardo Museum is a landmark institution located in the heart of the capital city of Tunis.
