Iggy Azalea's North American tour rescheduled, rapper reportedly turns her back on promotion

Rapper Iggy Azalea will not be heading out on tour this summer. Her Great Escape Tour has been postponed, following a report that the “Fancy” rapper has turned her back on her management team.

On Monday, TheWrap reported that Azalea has not been communicating with her management and was even refusing to promote her tour. Sources for the site claimed that she would not do press interviews for the tour.

Today, her label, Def Jam, sent a statement to Billboard, confirming that the tour has to be rescheduled because of “tour production delays.”

The label explained that, “to accommodate for creative team availability and tour productions, it was determined that the tour will not be ready this spring. It's important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans and that requires more time in development.”

Despite the change, a rep for Azalea told Billboard that TheWrap’s report was incorrect. "There's no truth to the rumor that there's any conflict between her and her management,” the rep said.

However, it is true that Azalea has withdrawn from social media. Last month, she quit Twitter and, over the weekend, she quit Instagram. Both social media pages will now be handled by her team.
