Hugh Jackman might be getting ready to leave his adamantium claws behind, but that of course doesn’t mean he’s done with big projects. Indeed, the actor is joining the growing list of big stars who have made a Biblical epic.

Jackman will star in Apostle Paul for Warner Bros., according to Deadline, which first reported the news. He will produce with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, along with Jennifer Todd and Chris Clarke. Matt Cook, who wrote John Hillcoat’s upcoming Triple 9, is working on the script.
As Variety notes, Biblical accounts state that he saw a light and a voice from Jesus after he was persecuting Christians. Paul then became an apostle and wrote 14 of the 27 books in the New Testament. He also went on to found churches.
Over the weekend, Jackman made headlines for insinuating on Instagram that his next Wolverine movie will be the last time he ever plays the X-Men character. That new movie will be released on March 3, 2017.
Before then, he will be seen as Blackbeard in Warner Bros.’ Pan, which opens this July. He’s also still working on The Greatest Showman on Earth, in which he will play P.T. Barnum.
