The BBC announced that Williams has already started filming her episode. Steven Moffat, the show’s head writer, refused to give any details on her role. Considering her other show also has a high level of secrecy surrounding it, she’s used to that.

“I'm so excited to be working on Doctor Who as it’s such a big and important part of British Culture,” Williams said. “I can’t wait to meet the cast and crew and start filming, especially as we’ll be shooting not too far from my home town.”

Williams also shared the news on Twitter, where she thanked fans for their “lovely messages.”

The BBC also revealed the names of two upcoming Doctor Who episodes. The first is “The Girl Who Died,” written by Moffat and Jamie Mathieson and the second is “THe Woman Who Lived” by Catherine Tregenna.

Doctor Who currently stars Peter Capaldi as The Doctor and Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald. Ed Bazalgette (Poldark) is directing.

The episode starring Williams will air this fall on BBC One in the U.K. and BBC America in the U.S.

As for her other show, Game of Thrones will start its fifth season on HBO on April 12. Williams stars as Arya Stark in the series.
