Bobbi Kristina Brown's cousin Jerod Brown arrested in traffic stop

Jerod Brown, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s controversial cousin, was arrested in Georgia Monday after being pulled over by police. He allegedly gave an officer a fake name and did not have his license on him.

The officer pulled over Brown at 2 a.m. on Monday because he allegedly “smelled the distinct odor of marijuana” coming from Brown’s car, according to Atlanta Police Department records. When the officer pulled the vehicle over, the driver told him that there was no marijuana in the car, “but we just came from the studio.”

The driver told the officer that he didn’t have his driver’s license. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the driver said his name was Jahraim Wallace Reid. However, the officer did an hour of investigating and determined that it was really Brown.

Us Weekly reports that the officer also discovered that there is a warrant out for Brown’s arrest in Gwinnett County.

Brown was charged with driving without a licence and giving a fake identity to police. He was also arrested on the Gwinnett County warrant, but details on what that charge is were not released.

Brown is also in trouble with his family. Bobby Brown, Bobbi’s father, released a statement in February, asking the media to not take anything he has to say as official word from the Brown family. Then, Brown claimed that Whitney Houston, Bobbi’s mother, was murdered.

Bobbi Kristina Brown has been in a coma since Jan. 31, when she was found unresponsive in a bathtub by her boyfriend, Nick Gordon. She was recently moved from Emory Hospital to a rehab center in the Atlanta area.
