Smith took on a dramatic and emotional role in Seven Pounds back in 2008. At this time, Smith was coming into his career as a serious and dramatic actor. Even though Pounds underperformed at the box office, the chemistry between Smith and co-star Rosario Dawson was memorizing and captivating until the emotional final scene in the film.
