3. Camping
I tend to like the Parks episodes that gather just about everyone in one place, and “Camping” is a great example of that. Leslie takes the parks crew out on a camping trip so they can brainstorm new ideas, and this episode gives every single character on the show their own time to shine. We have Tom, who fills a giant tent with stuff he got from Sky Mall to the point that there’s no point for him to even be camping. Ron is excited like a little kid that he gets to go fishing, but he keeps getting interrupted by Leslie. Ben is completely out of his element having no idea how to camp, saying that he’ll just sleep on the floor. “It’s called the ground when it’s outside.” Jerry is very Jerry-like when he goes into some uncomfortable details about losing his virginity as Ron is just trying to fish in silence. Andy gets completely lost in the woods trying to meet April, but ends up finding her and being pretty romantic. The episode culminates with the crew staying at a hotel owned by a crazy cat lady with cats literally everywhere, and it ends with one of my all-time favorite Parks endings showing the woman playing the piano in a room full of cats followed by Ben tell us “yeah she died like 20 minutes after that.” It's not a very emotional or character driven episode, but it is just jam packed with amazing and hilarious character moments and is easily one of the show's funniest episodes.
