3. Skipping all the way to the ‘90s, we come up to Jane Campion’s The Piano, which earned Holly Hunter and the young Anna Paquin Oscars for their incredible performances. Harvey Keitel is a bit tough to take, but the film still holds up 20 years after its release. That, of course, is thanks to the sign-language performance by Hunter.
