4. Sigourney Weaver, Aliens
OK, so there’s little chance that you’ve missed Aliens, but you might have forgotten the fact that Sigourney Weaver actually managed to get a Best Actress nomination. She lost to Children of a Lesser God’s Marlee Matlin, but it’s kind of cool for science fiction fans to know that the Academy recognized the genre in an acting category.
