7. Julie Christie, McCabe & Mrs. Miller
One of the other great cinematic crimes - and probably proof that awards don’t really matter - was how Robert Altman’s masterful Western McCabe & Mrs. Miller was ignored at the 1971 Oscars. However, Julie Christie, who already won for Darling, was nominated for her wonderful performance in the film. She sadly lost to Kout’s Jane Fonda.
