Suge Knight is back in jail after he was released from the hospital last night. He had a medical emergency during a court appearance on Tuesday in his hit-and-run case.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to NBC Los Angeles that the former rap music mogul left the hospital around 9 p.m. Wednesday night and was processed at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility early this morning.
As previously reported, Knight had a panic attack and felt chest pains during the court hearing on Tuesday. He was rushed to the hospital and was handcuffed to his bed.
Knight is accused of striking two men with his truck and fleeing the scene. Terry Carter died and Cle Sloan is currently being treated for serious injuries. Police beleive that the incident took place shortly after the three men had an argument on the set of Straight Outta Compton in Compton, California.
The film is a biopic about the group NWA. Universal Pictures told The Hollywood Reporter today that the studio still plans on making the movie.
It’s not clear what type of footage was being shot before the hit-and-run, but THR’s sources say that commercial and music video director Paul Hunter was making a commercial on the set.
